‘Tis the Season!

A very happy holidays to all!

It’s been a productive start of the month as I wrap up an industrial voiceover project with a local Californian client. I can’t wait to see and share the finished product. I recorded it last week and it’s going to be finalized soon. Early on, it was great to hop on the phone with the client to get a sense of tone and do some pass throughs with them before recording. I’m definitely going to implement this practice in the future.

In training news, I had my one-to-one coaching session with Garnet Williams of Universal Voice Talent. It was FUN! It’s in preparation for my character/video game demo. He led me through some scripts and I played with new voices and also incorporated some ones that are my go-to. The session blew by so fast because we were having a wonderful time. I find that with each training session I allow myself to let go and just get into whatever mood is needed, whether it be a frantic squirrel or a super sad character mourning a loss. These moments are when I KNOW I love acting!

I added and plan to add another voiceover script challenge video to my “Voiceover Creativity” page, so head over to check those out! I did an elf sounding read (it also sounded slightly like Minnie Mouse to me too!) for the WomenInVo page.

I’m constantly auditioning for new gigs that pop up daily, it’s fun to see festive reads coming through. I also attended a live webinar yesterday with The Voiceover Network and a casting director. Picked up so many good insights, as usual!

I still have something big in the fire to announce, but for now if you’re curious, feel free to send me an email and I’ll tell you all about it!

Chat soon!
